Books
Just as with movies and series - books read while in the 20s are being differently read later in life.
This is just a subjective list and it is judged by how good I thought it was at the time.
I have re-read many of the books and many of them have been delegated to a not-ok-status. That's how it is to read books with different life experience.
How I find new books - and this is something that gets harder the more you read:
I read reddit. I try to find books here: https://edgarawards.com/ I open amazon.com and open a book I like and then check the recommended section below. This is not the best way (for me). I rarely find good books this way. But I do find that amazon.com gives better grades than goodreads. I google "Best new sci-fi books <year>" and I try to read through what they say.
In the olden days I went to the book stores and browsed the backs and covers and - sorry to say; judged the book by the cover. I no longer go to the book stores.
Upcoming

English MonstersJames Scudamore
UpcomingMax Denyer is ten years old when his expatriate parents send him back to England to board at the school on the hill , an isolated institution staffed by misfits all of them eccentric, some of them violent. Fortified by the care and counsel of his beloved grandfather, who lives painfully close by, Max must reinvent himself to navigate the school s arbitrary rules and savage customs.
Given Helioplis, this is a given read. He has such a nuanced way of writing realitionships.

UpcomingAs a child Ludo is plucked out of the shantytown where he was born and transported to a world of languid, cosseted luxury. Now twenty-seven, he works high above the above the sprawling metropolis of São Paulo for a vacuous 'communications company'. But this is not his world, and this is not a simple rags-to-riches story: Ludo's destiny moves him around like a chess piece, showing him both extremities of opulent excess and abject poverty, taking him to the brink of madness and brutality.
I have read this and... it was so good. It was five years ago but this is at the top of my list now.

I haven't started it but by the description, it's not for me. But you cannot judge the book by the cover.

Not good stuffWhy no?: Feels too old, written slaphazardly. Not worth it.

A child called "it"David J. Pelzer
Not good stuffIt is written by a person who doesn't know how to write.
The worst book I have ever read. I mean it is number 1 on the shit scale. It is all tell and now show and what the author wants is to press your buttons by just telling it.
